Painting

Paintings are done in acrylic, gouache, or watercolor on canvas, cold- or hot-pressed watercolor paper, acrylic 300 gsm paper, or custom products.

Art prints are available in my shop. I offer prints on canvas, cards, and occasionally on other products.

I'm a water baby. A Thalassophile.

My parents said I was swimming underwater before I could really even walk, and I've spent my life being in and around bodies of water. I have an insatiable love for all things related to water. The colors, reflections, scents, shadows, sounds, feelings, and the fact that water is life draws me to it. It rejuvenates me. Makes me happy. Calms me down. Soothes my soul.

I am constantly amazed by the power and beauty of water.

I'm obsessed with creatures of the sea (both real and mythical).

I've always joked that I'm part mermaid. Even during a silly game, my husband and best friend both said I would be a mermaid if I had magical powers. Not just because I love the water, but because I'm a healer and nurturer. Mermaids are a bridge between the human and aquatic realms and represent harmony and balance. They give generously in love. Their emotions are free and powerful, like the sea. Mermaids feel deeply and can love like no other. They're ambassadors of the sea and natural protectors.

Nerd note: nudibranchs are my favorite of the little sea creatures!
